Thermal comfort is related with thermal and water vapour permeability properties of the garments. Comfortable garments protect the thermal balance (temperature and humidity) of the body. They adjust optimum heat and moisture (sweat) transmission between body and its environment for different atmospheric conditions and physical activities. In this article, the terms related with thermal and water vapour permeability will be defined and the parameters that affect these properties will be explained in details.
