In this paper, properties of both % 100 cotton ring spun and compact spun yarns in Ne 30 and Ne 40 yarn counts from the same raw material were investigated. Single Jersey, rib and interlock knitted fabrics were produced from these yarns. Weights, bursting strengths and pilling tendencies of these fabrics were investigated. The differencies of ring and compact yarns were evaluated with the help of undependent two sample t test, effect of parameters used in experimental studies were evaluated with the help of oneway-variance ana-lyze (ANOVA). With respect to experimental results, statistically meaningfull differences are determined between the measured all properties of ring and compact yarns, especially in Ne 40. Differences in yarn structure affected fabric properties, especially, knitted from compact yarns have higher bursting strength than fabrics knitted from ring spun yarns.
