Today apparel plants need systems or models related quality to live in the future and make plans about future. ISO 9000:2000 and EFQM Excellence Model are seemed like the models that have potential to support quality demands of apparel plants. Also they work as a guide for development. In this work, ISO 9000:2000 and EFQM Excellence Model are compared to each other for apparel plants by 13 survey study are given. As a result of this comparison, it is found that ISO 9000:2000 Quality Management System is the base of excellence journey of plats and EFQM Excellence Model is formed over that base. EFQM Excellence Model which has continuous development and treatment in its structure, works as a guide for plants on their competition to live at the top and is more extensive and efficient in long term for apparel plants. But it is not much available to apply EFQM Excellence Model due to current structure of apparel plants, ISO 9000:2000 ise more prefered in apparel.
